Play with your Browser (Chrome and Mozilla)

While downloading softwares of importance quite a few number of users click on the NEXT button in a hurry even without reading what the dialogue box has to say, yes, accept it you've been there and you've done that .
As goes the English proverb Haste is Waste. Here, I'll be explaining how to get rid of the waste you might have accidentally generated :P
You might have noticed that your Browser has a lot of toolbars (Yontoo, Babylon..) that you don't necessarily require and also prove to be a hindrance very often.
How to get rid of them?
Yes, you can adopt the age-old technique of navigating to your system's Control Panel and Uninstalling the toolbar, But, you sometimes don't even find it there, why? Not Important.
So if you're using Chrome the toolbar is basically a gadget or an Extension.
In case of Firefox it is an Add-On

Here are a series of steps to get rid of the trash on your browser:

For Google Chrome-->            1. Go to the Customize button
on the top right of your browser. Click on it
2.Go to Tools and then to Extensions
3.A new Tab automatically opens up.
4.Either Delete(By clicking on the Trash icon) the undesired extension or Disable it (in case
you feel you might require it in the future) by unchecking the box, right next to the extension.

For Mozilla Firefox-->
1.Click on the 'Firefox' on the top left of your browser.
2.Click on Add-ons if will show you the existing add-ons that you have and that is where you can remove the toolbar.

How Enable pop-ups in Chrome:
1.Go to the customize button (as above)
2.Search for 'Privacy' in the search bar provided on top right
3.Click on Content Settings.
4.Scroll down to the pop-ups option and enable

How do I customize my new Tab Page in Chrome?
Sadly enough, Google hasn't provided a built-in option for this. You need to download an extension for this. The URL to the extension is
 https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/define-your-own-new-tab/nhjjapmfhhmcikhcfkiolockmndbbpng

If you feel you need to customize your browser to a larger extent , go to your address bar and type chrome://flags/. Some of these tweaks will work on your Chrome Version and some won't.

Other Miscellaneous Chrome Features:
1). Pin TAB:
Some tabs like Facebook are the ones you never close. Take any tab and right-click on it , you get an option to PIN TAB,  click on it, your tab will be pinned to extreme left of the browser. You won't accidentally close an important Tab now.
2). Drag and Drop your Downloads
You can Drag and Drop your downloads directly form the small pop-up bar that appears when you download something. This can save the time you spend on moving the file from downloads to other folder of your choice.
3) Chrome treats each Tab as a separate Task , to kill tabs that are creating a problem Press Shift+ESC to access the Chrome Task Manager
4)Chrome as a Calculator : Go to your address bar and type something like '2*4', wait a second and chrome will directly give you the answer
5) Go to your address bar and type 'about:memory'. You can now know how different processes are consuming memory
6) Create an app: Go to the Customize Button on your top right and then go to tools , now click on create application shortcut, you  can create shortcuts of apps that you frequently use.
